module 12:
static and dynamic security
DESCRIPTION AND EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

Protecting an organization from the risk of workplace violence entails appraising, and then addressing any shortcomings of both the organization's dynamic and static security.

Static security involves ensuring that the physical plant and the organization's space (its public image, cyberspace, etc.) are immunized against the risk of assaults from both within and from outside.

Dynamic security involves the activities of specialized personnel, the use of consultants, training, periodic workplace safety audits, putting in place and monitoring an effective means of communicating threat, and modifying the workplace culture where need be.

Participants will come to understand the essentials of conducting a static and dynamic security audit and the necessary steps to remediate any deficiencies identified by the appraisal.
