module 5:
the workplace violence
perpetrator
DESCRIPTION AND EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

Although there is no single or unitary profile of a workplace violence perpetrator, there are a number of recognized mental health problems and characteristics found in individuals who perpetrate violence in the workplace.

The instructor will offer participants an overview of psychological problems, mental disorders and conditions that one finds in workplace violence perpetrators.

Workshop participants will be introduced to and learn about the use of the Employee Risk Assessment (ERA-20), a first of its kind risk assessment tool, designed specifically to evaluate an individual worker's risk for engaging in violence in the workplace.
